Judson University Men's Soccer Team

Our Story

Students on the Men’s Soccer team were strengthened through competition, team building, and spiritual focus this past year. It has been such an unique year because of the pandemic.  Witnessing their determination and commitment to their teammates, as well as their dedication to their academic studies, is truly a testament to the goodness of God.  

This past year, our guys did a great job finishing on the top 5 in our conference with a conference record 6-5-1, and overall season record 8-6-1. It has been another year of transition for us with a lot of new players joining not only the roster, but also the starting eleven on the field. It has pushed our focus very hard again towards team building in a pandemic year where team building was made so much harder. With such a diverse group from different countries and backgrounds, it gave us an amzing challenege to work with, but these are the challenges we love to have. The challenges that will allow us all to grow together and learn from each other. It has been an amazing journey full of hard decisions, easy decisions, right decisions, wrong decisions, and a lot of intentionality behind it to make the best out of it. Moving forward, Men’s Soccer wants to focus on community service in the U.S., and internationally through Judson’s Missions. We have had our staff and a few players already joining Judson’s Belize team on the past two trips to help lead the sports’ ministry there.  It is the initial step to lead us to a whole team mission trip to Belize in the near future.  Serving others is how we believe we can help and impact other people’s lives in a positive way, and share our blessings with them.
