2022-2023 Women's Soccer Team
Our Story
Students on the Women’s Soccer Program were strengthened through our mentoring and internal sports psychology methodology; we invested a lot of our time on our student athletes by doing interpersonal development training as well as on field sessions that equipped them to face all the challenges this past year. Witnessing their determination and commitment to their teammates, as well as their dedication to their academic studies, is truly a testament to the goodness of God.
This past year, we saw progress and success in many aspects such as academics, spiritual growth from players that came from a non-spiritual background. We have continued to work towards our team mission’s trip to Costa Rica, which our student athletes are excited and committed to be part of. Women’s Soccer continues to be present in CCAC post season and this year we defeated TCC who was ranked #22 in the NAIA National Poll and were undefeated regular season champions. We then move to the semifinals of the CCAC conference tournament where we fought all the way through to the end in a 1-0 loss to SAU. Our team progressed this year throughout all the challenges that we faced and our student athletes remained committed and excited about this coming Fall.
Through the wins and losses, and the uncharted waters we were on this past year and unprecedented year, our women’s soccer student athletes reached many personal goals and had a great overall experience. They got closer to each other and developed into a tighter family. Students were able to further develop their individual skills and abilities, while also growing as a team, and strengthening their faith. This year the Women’s Soccer Team will continue to work on our mission’s trip to Costa Rica that is set for December and we will continue to get ready for our regular season this coming Fall that starts in August. We are aiming to win regular season and earn a berth to the National Tournament again.
