Our Story

Dear friends and family,

I am writing to you today to ask for your support for my upcoming 11th mission trip to Belize with Judson University, taking place from February 27 to March 8, 2026. This journey has become an extraordinary and deeply meaningful part of my life, profoundly shaping my path over the past decade. Each year, the trip unfolds in unexpected ways, always revealing more extraordinary moments than the year before. 

I've been given the privilege to serve the vibrant community in Belize as both a team leader and the team medic. The connections made and the lessons learned over the years have been life-changing, and I am excited to return with a new team and a renewed sense of purpose. 

This year's journey already holds special significance for me because of my connection with Jamie, a high school graduate I met in Belize, who is now a freshman music student at Judson University in Elgin, IL. Sitting together on a large branch by the quarry in Belize, last March, we talked about Judson, and it's wonderful to see the trip continues to create these lasting bonds and connections that impact life change. This experience is a powerful reminder of how these trips foster spiritual growth and personal development for everyone involved. Jamie is the sixth student to come to Judson from that area in Belize.

My move into the medical field, a journey that began nine years ago after a trip to Belize, was inspired by the power of being present and ministering to the heart and soul of those in front of me. I am grateful to use my skills to perform blood pressure and fasting glucose tests for the villagers, and to educate them on diet, diabetes, and high blood pressure. My role also allows me to connect with our Belizean friends on a deeper level through home visits, women's ministry and prayer. 

The donations we bring are a vital part of our ministry, providing direct assistance to families in need. I bring cash to give to the local church, which then uses the funds to care for their congregation. In previous years, these funds have provided crucial support for daily living expenses and essential care like dialysis. Your past support has made a tangible difference, and I've seen firsthand how God multiplies these gifts and prayers to meet the community's needs.
