Our Mission

Our mission, through the power of faith, is to cultivate a special family of diverse disabled adults who are ineligible of receiving state assistance---providing them with a home and opportunities that enable them to grow in their community

Who We Are

305 8th Street is a 501C3 non-profit organization. We offer 24-hour and supportive care year-round to adults with varying disabilities. Residents receive a form of Social Security Disability but due to Alabama State guidelines are denied services or on a waiting list for state group home care. Since our residents are vulnerable and lack independence, 305 8th Street fills the gap by providing sliding scale care at one of four of our properties. For our organization to continue our mission of providing services to an underserved population of disabled adults in Alabama, fundraising is key to balance 50% of providing the necessary staffing, shelter, and programming that sustains their quality of life. Thanks to our extended family of supporters, we have proudly served the greater Madison County, AL area since 1979.
