WE were established over 50 years ago to minister to the Catholic parishes in the San Luis Valley and all along the I-25 corridor. We main mission what that of education. However, our main focus as a Benedictine Community is to be a place of prayer, community and hospitality. Historically Benedictines preserved the arts of the Scriptorium, religious art and the classics. Our order is over 1,500 years in tradition. Our founder St Benedict wrote a small Rule that has been read all over the year and has been a means of inspiration to not only the Catholics but to a number of other religious persuasions.
