Our Mission

Our passion at Beyond the Spectrum revolves around serving individuals and families in our community affected by autism, Down syndrome, and related cognitive exceptionalities. By providing specialized therapeutic and educational services, our goal is for every individual to achieve their greatest potential in a safe, inclusive environment.

Who We Are

Beyond the Spectrum is a non-profit private school and therapy center for children with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Lakewood Ranch, Florida. We serve students ages 4 and older through four tailored programs focusing on core academics, life skills, vocational training, and socio-emotional development. Beyond the Spectrum is an Accredited Member School as deemed by the standards of the Association of Independent Schools of Florida and the National Council for Private School Accreditation, and we maintain low classroom ratios to ensure individualized and inclusive services. Our mission is to foster an accepting, collaborative environment where learners can reach their most meaningful potential for empowered futures.
