Our Mission

Boca Helping Hands provides food, medical and financial assistance to meet basic human needs as well as education, job training and guidance to create self-sufficiency.

Who We Are

BHH is a community-based 501(c)(3) organization that was formed in 1998 by a group of local religious congregations. BHH first opened as a Food Center in November 1998, serving nutritious hot lunches three days a week and distributing bags of groceries to families. BHH opened a Resource Center in April 2002 providing help to Boca Raton residents in crisis situations (e.g., eviction, utility cancellation). In January 2010, all operations were consolidated into the Remillard Family Resource Center (RFRC). Today the Food Center is open six days a week. We also deliver homebound meals to disabled and elderly clients. In 2019, our Job Training Center opened across the street from the RFRC, providing clients with the opportunity to grow professionally in one of our 7 Job Training Programs and Job Mentoring Program. We are generously supported by individuals, corporations, foundations, schools, and over 300 dedicated volunteers, and have been rated a Charity Navigator 4-Star Charity for the 13th Consecutive Year.
