Traditional aid isn’t working. The healthcare system in Haiti is broken and tens of thousands of people die every year from preventable and treatable illnesses. Nearly 60% of people live below the poverty line of $2 per day and the maternal and infant mortality rates are the highest in the Western Hemisphere. All families deserve high-quality, reliable care that helps them to get well and stay healthy. Health is the cornerstone of family and civic life, education, and economic productivity. Care 2 Communities is different. Our model for community-based healthcare delivers results for vulnerable people and their families. We provide high-quality, affordable, patient-centered care through a clinic model that begins to financially sustain itself over time, ensuring that people get the health care they need today and in perpetuity. We have cared for more than 50,000 annually and we hope to bring our model of healthcare to the rest of Haiti and beyond!
