Our Mission

Mission Statement: Cornerstone Academy exists to provide students who need it, with an intentionally small Christian high school experience designed to provide them a personalized and comprehensive education leading towards a diploma, a Christian moral understanding, and tools for self-sufficiency.

Who We Are

Cornerstone Academy, for the last 30 years, is like an old fashion one-room school house (we actually have five rooms). We are small, taking on about 30 students per year. The students are teenagers from the Chicago-land area who have tried another high school, had it not work out -- for any number of reasons -- and want a fresh start. Besides being small and family-sized and working with students who want a second chance at high school, we are also a Christian school. Students can expect to work on spiritual formation, learn to view the world from a Christian point of view, and be instructed in the biblical stories. Cornerstone Academy is a State Board of Education Recognized School, and it is accredited by the North Central Association through AdvancEd.
