AGENCY DESCRIPTION Catholic Family Services is a private, nonprofit, family service and child welfare agency. We can trace our roots back to 1903 when the Daughters of Charity established an Orphanage in the East Lake community of Birmingham. From that orphanage, we have evolved to a multiservice agency that is very much a part of the professional communities in Birmingham, Huntsville, and Florence. We pride ourselves that we serve people of all faiths and no one is ever refused services due to an inability to pay our fees.
