Our Mission

Dog River Clearwater Revival is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to improving the water quality of and access to Dog River and its tributaries.

Who We Are

Located just over 20 miles north of the Gulf of Mexico in Mobile, AL, the Dog River Watershed is a mainly urbanized watershed covering 95 square miles and containing 127 miles of shoreline. Dog River Clearwater Revival (DRCR) was founded in 1994 and remains the sole organization dedicated to improving the water quality of the river. We focus on improving and protecting the water quality of all the creeks and streams by designing, implementing and monitoring projects to improve the environmental health of this unique riverine estuary. Our focus is to create an environment where families, children, citizens, workers, and visitors work and play in a clean, safe, and accessible Dog River. Membership is open to any interested individual, family, or organization. Members include citizens, property owners, commercial and recreational boaters, fishermen, businesses and organizations who care about protecting this incredible ecosystem.
