Our Mission

Faou Foundation’s mission is to realize the artist’s vision to place art installations in remote locations worldwide to foster cultural exchange, spark interest in and knowledge of local communities, and encourage gratitude towards nature for future generations.

Who We Are

In 2010, contemporary artist Mariko Mori embarked on an epic project to create site-specific and monumental art works, engaging a unique eco-system on each of the earth’s six habitable continents. Each work will be an emblem of the beauty of its pristine surroundings, a prayer for peace and harmony, and a reminder that every living being exists to revere earth’s treasures.
