Our mission is to provide food and resources to those in need.

Who We Are

The Friends in Need Food Shelf is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit food shelf serving Cottage Grove, Newport, St. Paul Park, and Grey Cloud Island in South Washington County, Minnesota. We've been in business since 1992 and serve around 27,000 people a year. We are a community-funded food shelf and rely on grants, donations, and fundraisers for support. We have 150 amazing volunteers from our community and a Board of Directors made up of local leaders who are passionate about our mission.
