Our Mission

Don't Be A Monster's mission is to educate and empower youth to stand up for themselves and their peers by building a community where everyone is included, no matter their differences. We envision a world where kindness is empowering and uniqueness is celebrated.

Who We Are

Don’t Be A Monster is a nationally recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that works alongside Haunted Attractions in the United States. We are the largest nonprofit organization in the Haunted Attraction community. We offer free, unique, and entertaining bullying prevention assemblies for students in 4th-10th grade. October is National Bullying Prevention Awareness Month. Our assemblies are delivered in the "Halloween Season" (late September through early November). Each assembly is presented by our DBAM team from a partnering haunted attraction local to your area. With them is our mascot Frank, who teaches kids to celebrate our differences. After Covid-19 spread and many schools made the safe decision to switch to online classrooms, we completely adapted our program into a virtual presentation, teaching students how to be an Upstander during social distancing.
