Mutt Match is an all breed dog rescue. While we do not specialize in any one particular breed, we are bleeding hearts for damsels in distress; pregnant mommas and mommas with litters, seniors and special needs cases. Owner Surrenders - we believe in intervention when possible.; intervening to keeping dogs out of an already over crowded shelter system where they are vulnerable to illnesses, over crowding and less then compassionate/capable homes. Therefore, we take owner surrenders. Behavior Cases - when possible we offer life long sanctuary to dogs considered "unadoptable" due to health or behavioral issues. Whether it’s ten days or ten years we are committed to our rescues for a lifetime. We do not euthanize dogs for anything less then quality of life. Mutt Match LA provides hospice care, comfort, love and a safe haven for terminally ill dogs and the hard core cases. We will leave no stone unturned while providing the best care and medical options for our dogs. However, we will not allow an ailing dog to suffer. It is a gift to be able to end an animals suffering and when that difficult decision has to be made we ensure it is done with love, respect and dignity. Caring for the uncared for requires funds. On average each intake will cost between $200 - $1000 and upwards depending on his/her needs and how long they remain in our care. These expenses do not include daily care of food, grooming, etc. or daily operating expenses. We do not rescue to reach any quotas, we believe in quality over quantity therefore the number of dogs we rescue varies from year to year. All our adopted dogs are appropriately vetted, spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped before adoption. We are their voice and we will continue to fight for the rights animals; the right to medical care, basic needs, a loving home and dignity Mutt Match LA relies solely on public donations, no amount is to small and benefits the health and welfare of abandoned and abused.
