Our Mission

Our mission is to create lasting, positive change in the lives of individuals and families navigating physical, emotional and developmental challenges through our holistic therapy programs - including equine assisted and farm-based services.

Who We Are

Rhythm of the Horse, founded in 2021 in Fort Lupton, Colorado, is a nonprofit that offers deeply personalized, horse-centered therapeutic and educational services for individuals with a range of physical, developmental, sensory, and emotional diagnoses—including cerebral palsy, MS, stroke, TBI, developmental delay, Down syndrome, autism, sensory processing disorder, ADHD, learning disabilities, anxiety, and depression. Its hallmark programs—Conductive Education, Sensory Integration Therapy, Adaptive Riding, Equine-Assisted Learning, and the powerful Horse Powered Reading & Math—leverage the rhythm, companionship, and responsive presence of horses to catalyze improvements in motor control, sensory regulation, communication, confidence, academic skills, and emotional resilience. Beyond the clients, the nonprofit fuels a ripple effect of impact: volunteers contribute indispensable time and skills, gaining emotional fulfillment and community belonging; families experience alleviated stress and strengthened bonds; and the broader community engages through events, fundraising, and shared purpose. Together, all who participate—human and equine alike—help transform lives, one hoofbeat at a time.
