Seeds of Wisdom, Inc.

Brandon Baskett founded Seeds of Wisdom in 2017 as a nonprofit organization on a mission to mentor middle school and high school boys. According to the most recent state report, more than 3,000 boys dropped out of high school during the 2018-2019 school year (SC Department of Education, 2021). Boys represented more than 62% of approximately 4,800 students who dropped out of high school. As a former high school English teacher and assistant basketball coach, Brandon knew that young men needed more support outside of school. Therefore, Brandon and his team of mentors reflect on their life experiences and promote the importance of integrity, discipline, education, and ambition (IDEA) to mentees as they navigate life. Seeds of Wisdom empowers boys to develop into young men who create a better tomorrow.
