Every woman who raised her hand to serve this country made a promise: to protect our freedoms, our families, and our future. Yet far too many of these same women return home to a reality they never expected — homelessness, unstable income, untreated trauma, and a system that is far too difficult to navigate alone.
Transitional housing for homeless female veterans is more than a roof. It is a lifeline. It is the first safe place many of these women have had in years. It is the foundation from which they can rebuild their lives with dignity, stability, and hope.
What makes this cause extraordinary is that it fills a gap almost no one talks about: Women veterans are the fastest?growing homeless veteran population, yet their needs are often overlooked. They face unique challenges — from military sexual trauma, to single motherhood, to barriers accessing benefits they earned through service. Without targeted support, many fall through the cracks.
