Our Mission

Sofia's Hope was inspired by the life and death of Sofia Blanco at the age of thirteen. And it is in her memory that we will fight cancer by raising childhood cancer awareness and the fact that children are dying every day waiting for promising new treatments; funding childhood cancer research and advances in treatment, especially as it relates to their long-term effects (including prevention, detection and treatment); and offering programs that enhance the quality of life of children with cancer.

Who We Are

Sofia’s Hope, Inc. recognizes that in the fight against childhood cancer there have to be two simultaneous approaches. Research funding which will have a long term impact and the development of patient and family programs that support those going through the journey TODAY. Sofia's Hope is dedicated to the almost 17,000 children diagnosed each year with cancer!
