Our Mission

Our Vision: Songea’s Kids envisions sustained provision of quality basic health, education and infrastructure needs of orphans and vulnerable children by Tanzanian partner organizations so these children can acquire skills to succeed. Our Mission: Songea’s Kids connects Tanzania and international partners to work together so impoverished children and villagers can break the cycle of poverty and lead productive lives.

Who We Are

Songea's Kids is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that builds hope and transforms lives of orphans, vulnerable children and their communities in southern Tanzania. We have two programs: one provides safe shelter, clean water, food, clothing, health care and education to 60 orphans and vulnerable children in Songea. Our second program supports the development of Hope Village, envisioned to become a residential orphan haven in Tanzania's Madaba District, able to provide nurturing homes for orphans, and also essential health care, educational and entrepreneurship opportunities to support the local community. As an all-volunteer organization, in 2020, a full 97% of funds raised went directly to support orphans, vulnerable children and their communities.
