Our Mission

Our mission is to save as many animal lives as possible. We envision the day when Houston is the Gold Standard for animal welfare.

Who We Are

Since 1979, Special Pals has been committed to saving animal lives in Houston. The Special Pals Rescue Resource Center continues that work by providing affordable temporary services to partner rescues, empowering them to save more lives through cooperation and adoption. To support our community, we offer adoptions for dogs and cats, and host low-cost clinics with affordable vaccines, microchipping, and prevention medicines. Fosters and volunteers are the backbone of our efforts, and we welcome helping hands who are passionate about saving animals.
