Our Mission

To empower Entrepreneur Women Associated with the Military (EWAM) inclusive of veterans, active duty, reservists and female military spouse scale for success, we establish strategic alliances, leverage public/private-sector opportunities, advocate for relevant research, services and funding, while simultaneously providing on-site the personal and professional resources they need to succeed. Projected mission outcomes for our clients include, but are not limited to ensuring financial preparedness, business certification, doubling of revenues, creating increased contracting opportunities, innovations for expanding products/services, building viable social capital, and ensuring access to immediate financial resources.

Who We Are

Founded in 2017 by Ms. VR Small, the VWEC is a national initiative based on research and recommendations from the National Women’s Business Council, the Interagency Task Force on Veterans Small Business Development and the Advisory Committee on Veterans Business Affairs related to programs for women veteran entrepreneurs. In accordance with the VWEC mission, a strategic alliance was established with the Homeless Veteran Services of Dallas (HVSD), which manages the Veteran Transition and Resource Center (VTRC) facility owned by the Veteran Administration (VA). This alliance ultimately resulted in the VWEC securing a 2,700-square-foot facility that includes modern executive co-working spaces, a conference/copy center, a café lounge, coded lockers and free secure parking, all designed to create a safe, collaborative environment for all Entrepreneur Women Associated with the Military (EWAM)to grow their businesses.
