Our Mission

Warrior Bonfire Program provides opportunities that improve the lives of enemy combat-wounded veterans—Purple Heart recipients—on their lifelong journey of recovery and healing. We create activity-based, small group retreats that foster healing, build support communities, and transform lives. We place warriors, wounded in combat with others of a similar experience, in stress-free, safe, and secure settings designed to help our Purple Hearts become better individuals, discover their post-service purpose and encourage building strong family and community relationships.

Who We Are

Founded in Vicksburg, MS and operations are headquartered in Denver, CO. Our staff operates virtually from their home offices to keep our administrative costs very low. We operate our programs at 89%. Our boards and volunteers are made up of great Americans, both of military service backgrounds and civilians. Our programs consist of small group retreats of 6, for Purple Hearts, Spouses of Purple Hearts, and Couples Retreats. These take place across the country with an average of 20 retreats per year.
