Who We Are
We Heart Seattle is an action-based, boots-on-the-ground movement that organizes trash cleanups in our public spaces and offers resources to those in need. Through We Heart Seattle's direct civic engagement, we lead the way to a more compassionate and healthy community. Volunteers remain THE driving force behind WHS’ unique and successful model of civic engagement. Our scheduled litter picks have proven meaningful for individuals and teams ranging from faith-based, social, nonprofit, and community groups to businesses. Since inception, WHS and its volunteers have cleaned and restored hundreds of parks, acres of green space and thousands of hot-spots across the city. To date, WHS has hosted hundreds of events in 26 distinct Seattle zip codes, helped over 160 off the streets and removed over 850,000lbs of trash from Seattle's public spaces.
