THE WELCOME PROJECT

The Welcome Project (TWP) works with immigrant families in Metro-North Boston to tackle barriers to survival and success through year-round programming in leadership development, language access, and school/community engagement. TWP offers ESOL classes, youth development, workshops on employment and housing rights, walk-in services, leadership training, and more through our community-based programs and our many civic and community partnerships. Our programs provide low-income immigrant families with the training and platform to participate in civic life and have a powerful presence in the schools, city government, and other institutions that shape our lives. Our events welcome both newcomers and native-born residents, building bridges across language and culture to foster peaceful relations across the region. We are based in Somerville, MA and work with communities across Metro-North Boston . TWP works mostly with low-income immigrant families, both youth and immigrant parents/adults. We work primarily with the Latino, Brazilian, and Haitian communities, but we welcome and support immigrants of all races, nationalities, and languages. Our programs are open to people who are foreign-born and native-born, documented and undocumented. All are welcome.
