Who We Are

Established in 2010, WHOlives is currently in 44 countries with over 14,000 boreholes (wells) completed. We utilize the Village Drill, a revolutionary human powered drill created in partnership with the Brigham Young University. We drill water wells in remote areas that are not able to be served by traditional big rig trucks due to lack of access to road or excessive cost. We can drill a borehole in 75% more locations for 75% less cost. We do this while building locally owned, sustainable water well drilling businesses run by local entrepreneurs. These new businesses provide good paying jobs and increase local economies. We help developing communities solve their own problems.
