WisCorps, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) conservation corps headquartered in La Crosse, Wisconsin that engages youth and young adults in three areas:
Conservation Projects throughout Wisconsin and the Upper Midwest.
WisCorps WORKS, an in- and out-of-school youth work program in 8 Western Wisconsin counties. Nature education programs for schoolchildren, youth, and adults.
* Conservation Projects
Under the supervision of an experienced leader, crews of 4 to 6 Corps Members ages 16 to 25 complete high-quality work as they gain technical skills and expand their knowledge of Wisconsin’s natural resources. Corps Members are paid a wage for their work. Projects crews have completed in Wisconsin and throughout the Upper Midwest include:
-trail construction and rehabilitation
-invasive species management
-rock staircase and retaining wall construction
-storm damage cleanup
-prairie restoration
-bridge and boardwalk construction stream bank stabilization
* WisCorps WORKS
WisCorps manages an in- and out-of-school youth employment and skills program in eight Western Wisconsin counties: Buffalo, Crawford, Jackson, Juneau, La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, and Vernon. Through paid work experience and classroom style training, eligible participants learn skills that will help them to become future leaders in Wisconsin’s workforce.

* Nature Education Programs
At WisCorps, we believe that environmental and nature education is crucial to the
development of children, youth, and adults through quality learning experiences in nature and with a positive and welcoming atmosphere. Our goal is to foster appreciation and a sense of stewardship for the environment and our natural resources throughout the La Crosse community and surrounding area as a whole. As a result, individuals will develop a deeper understanding of environmental issues and have the skills to make informed and responsible decisions.
