Through media arts education, Wide Angle Youth Media cultivates and amplifies the voices of Baltimore youth to engage audiences across generational, cultural, and social divides. Our programs inspire creativity and instill confidence in young people, empowering them with skills to navigate school, career, and life. Since 2000, Wide Angle Youth Media has worked with over 5,500 youth from across Baltimore City who have produced hundreds of digital media projects about their lives and communities. RAPTOR VIEW RESEARCH INSTITUTE
The mission of RVRI is to provide knowledge of raptors (birds of prey) and the ecosystems that support them to the public and scientific community, through research conservation and education. As widespread predators inhabiting all terrestrial ecosystems, raptors serve as valuable indicators of ecosystem health. As “environmental barometers”, or the “coal miner's canary”, raptors are often the first obvious component of an ecosystem to show the negative effects of a failing system. RVRI believes that by protecting raptors and effectively managing for them, we are in turn, protecting the wild integrity of those ecosystems as a whole.

We partner with more than 850 female artisans to design and sell beautifully handcrafted products around the world. The artisans earn fair-trade, sustainable income for their products which enables them to lift themselves and their families out of poverty. We then pool the profits from product sales, along with grants and donations, to fund business education programs for the women who handcraft our products.

Roughly 422 million people live in extreme poverty in Africa, that is one in three people. The World Bank defines “extreme poverty” as living on $1.25 or less a day. Pilot Light has been working for 12 years with people living in extreme poverty in Africa to help them improve their lives through creating a sustainable, livable income.
