Circle of Compassion and its project, the Worldwide Prayer Circle for Animals, is a non-denominational circle of people devoted to using action and the power of prayer, meditation, and/or focused thought to liberate all animals from human oppression and exploitation. We believe that, by adding the power of prayer to all the other animal rights work currently being done, this circle of prayers will: •Create an energy field of compassion and caring for all beings of Earth; •hasten the transformation we are seeking for a world at peace; •Strengthen us all for the work ahead; •Elevate global consciousness to the awareness that all life is sacred and interconnected and to the joyful acknowledgement of our kinship with every being; •More intensely awaken within us the ever-loving presence of Divine compassion and mercy. Circle of Compassion honors all traditions -- Our Worldwide Prayer Circle for Animals honors the prayer traditions of all religions and encourages participants to use any form of prayer, meditation, or focused thought that is comfortable. In fact, Circle members who have no particular spiritual beliefs but who believe in the proven power of focused thought are absolutely welcome. There are no requirements to joining the Prayer Circle for Animals other than an interest in helping animals through prayer or focused thought and a willingness to commit to faithfully repeating at least once daily this Prayer for the Animals in a heartfelt mood of thanksgiving for the ongoing manifestation of love and peace on earth. We exist to break the mold—and the barriers that have kept women out of technical trades for far too long. Our mission is to create pathways to empower all women, including those who identify as women, by opening doors into the world of building inspections, code compliance, and safety enforcement. These aren’t just jobs. They’re careers that shape communities, protect lives, and command respect. Yet for decades, they’ve remained out of reach for many women due to systemic bias, lack of access, and cultural gatekeeping. We’re here to change that. Through rigorous certification programs, hands-on training, and mentorship, we equip women with the skills, credentials, and confidence to step into these roles and own them. Our graduates don’t just meet industry standards—they learn them and may eventually write them. They become inspectors, enforcers, leaders, and advocates for safer structures in our communities. We believe that when women are empowered to build, inspect, and lead, entire communities benefit. Economic independence grows. Representation shifts. Futures brighten. This mission is fueled by belief—and by action. Every donation, every grant, every partnership helps us expand access, deepen impact, and rewrite the narrative for women in technical trades. Churches Active in Northside (CAIN) is a 501(c)3 that transforms lives and inspires hope by providing nutritious food, crisis assistance, resources, and compassion in a way that respects human dignity and builds a more vibrant community. Its Household Stabilization Ministry’s hospitality removes barriers in seeking help. Low-income, under-resourced, food-insecure households receive vital stabilization services including nutrient-dense food; household and hygiene items; referrals; and on-site application for critical supports including SNAP (food stamps), Medicaid and Earned Income Tax Credit.
