Learn About Clean Water

Access to clean water is essential for human health and well-being, and there have been many positive developments in improving access to clean water worldwide. According to the World Health Organization and UNICEF, the number of people without access to basic water services has declined from 1.2 billion in 2010 to 785 million in 2017, and the number of people without access to basic sanitation has declined from 2.4 billion in 2000 to 2 billion in 2017. Many countries have implemented effective water and sanitation strategies, such as investing in infrastructure, promoting hygiene education, and ensuring that water sources are protected from pollution and degradation. In addition, there has been a growing recognition of the importance of water as a human right, with many governments and organizations working to ensure that all people have access to safe and affordable water. These positive trends indicate that progress is being made in improving access to clean water, and that there is hope for a future where all people have access to this essential resource.
