Our Mission - The 100 Black Men of Greater Detroit, Inc. is a group of concerned African American men whose goal is to improve the quality of life in our community through their collective resources, abilities and experiences. Knights of Heroes impacts children who have lost a parent in service to our Nation, by empowering them with positive adult mentorship, character development, and lasting friendships, which are forged through outdoor adventure programs. KOH hosts families with common losses allowing them to share experiences and build relationships while increasing public awareness and ensuring that families with losses are not forgotten with the passage of time.

ECI supports children in Afghanistan with disabilities with residential, educational and income generation support for families. Through our programs, we support children with disabilities who are the most vulnerable—abandoned by families living in extreme poverty who have no resources to cope, or unclaimed by family after the death of one or both parents. We also work with families with disabled children, providing educational and income generation support, in order to prevent the abandonment or institutionalization of children with disabilities.
