OneReef's Vision is to create vibrant reefs and thriving communities. OneReef's Mission is to partner with island communities to combine traditional stewardship and modern resources to protect at least 25% of coral reefs across Micronesia. Less than 5% of the billions of dollars spent annually on the environment is made available directly to locals who manage ecosystems. We work to fill this unmet need - we partner directly with island communities to protect reefs and recover fisheries. Our mission is based on the insight that island communities are more effective environmental stewards when their traditional knowledge and practices are combined with the right scientific, financial, and technical partnerships and resources. It ensures that practical and cost-effective solutions emerge. OneReef's Community Partnership Model is a proven way to accomplish long-term conservation success: - Through equitable agreements, traditional knowledge is combined with the right partnerships and resources, and economic benefits are directly linked to conservation - Agreements include the community's 20-year vision, shared commitments and expected outcomes, a spatial management plan, impact monitoring plan, and more. - This results in innovative, practical and cost-effective solutions to enforce managed fishing zones, measure impact, and build social cohesion around conservation that endures. Why the OneReef Community Partnership model has proven to be effective: 1. The right people in the right places Our island community partners have a strong "eco-identity" and take responsibility for their environment. They want their reefs to thrive in the face of over-fishing and climate change. 2. The right tools and resources Our island community partners need financial, scientific, and technical resources to protect their reefs. OneReef mentors community members: (1) Training, tools, infrastructure to increase agency (2) Support for management plans (3) Science-based impact measures (4) Long-term, leveraged financing 3. DART was founded in 2020 in Manatee County after learning about the plight of exotic pets held in captivity and lack of understanding of the care they need as wild animals. We support causes that advocate for the conservation of these species in the wild in their native countries. DART is a volunteer-based animal welfare organization dedicated to rescuing former domestic and exotic pets such as prosimians and cats with behavioral challenges. By working with a network of zoos, private owners, zoo staff volunteer advocates, foster caregivers, local veterinarians, trainers, and shelters, DART strives to rescue animals and provide these animals with behavioral rehabilitation and care.

At Paws of Heaven, we are committed to providing comfort and therapy dogs to those in need, especially veterans and first responders. We are dedicated to identifying people with PTSD (or other anxiety issues) who would benefit from a therapy or comfort dog. As a PTSD sufferer, I feel a calling to serve other PTSD sufferers, especially veterans. Once we identify a good candidate, we match that person with the perfect dog. This entire process is done at no cost to the recipient. In 2 Corinthians 1, we discover that God is the Father of all comfort, and He comforts us in all our troubles. We also discover God enables us to comfort others with the same comfort we receive from Him. In His absolute sovereignty, God chooses any vessel for providing comfort, and we believe God has chosen to use dogs to provide comfort in countless ways. Paws of Heaven is committed to seeking those who, by the loving grace of God, can benefit from a therapeutic relationship with a service or support dog. At Paws of Heaven, we rely 100% on generous contributions from people just like you. Please consider making a donation; no gift is too small.
