"Making a difference in the lives of disadvantaged middle school students across Los Angeles and Ventura Counties" The Emily Shane Foundation believes that all students deserve the opportunity to attain their best academic potential. Our flagship SEA (Successful Educational Achievement) Program provides intensive and individualized academic tutoring and mentorship to disadvantaged children in the mainstream, middle school classroom who risk academic failure and could not otherwise afford this necessary support. Students are guided to become motivated, and change negative attitudes or a sense of hopelessness and are set on a path to academic and personal success. Legal Information for Families Today (LIFT)

Legal Information for Families Today (LIFT) empowers families to advocate for themselves in the complex Family Courts, where over 80% of litigants do not have a lawyer. We serve 30,000 people each year by operating hotlines to answer pressing questions related to court processes, child support, custody, and visitation; running Education Information Sites and Family Legal Centers at courthouses in all 5 boroughs; and holding parenting workshops and mother's groups that address the needs of our participants.

Among our objectives is to help brilliant but needy students as well as potential students in in our communities to become effective and useful citizens to the whole world.Our aim is to assist children acquire the necessary skills for their own usefulness to their community and Ghana in general. It is our hope that leaders will be raised with our effort and your support. This achieved the vices of drugs and alcohol abuse which untrained minds tend to adopt would be averted. Other remedies induced by the deprived children’s education are avoidance of “SAKAWA” (Internet Fraud), robbery and other anti-social activities which have been rampant in the constituency. When a person is not educated, life challenges are profound as they have not obtained any skills that have the aptitude of making them profitable. The negativity that lack of education renders undeserving children is very unrewarding, not to them alone but to society in General.

Colorado Horse Rescue

Colorado Horse Rescue (CHR) rescues, rehabilitates, and adopts horses out to forever homes. We support individuals in the community through educational programs, referral services, financial assistance, and accepting necessary surrenders. Each year CHR assists dozens of horse owners by taking in their equine companions and finding new homes or offering short-term financial assistance. CHR has been instrumental in assisting during natural disasters, most recently in Boulder County after the devastating floods.
