Second Wind Foundation

Second Wind Foundation

Loving Honduras....building sustainable communities one family at a time. The Second Wind Foundation infuses and develops job skills and business-operation capabilities in each of our community participants. Through their affiliation with our organization, we radically and positively alter their lives so they become equipped to earn a living and support themselves, their families, and their neighbors by creating businesses and/or using their skills and labors in their local area. We seek to ‘work ourselves out of a job’, and we believe the need for our organization can one day no longer exist. We exhibit faithful stewardship over everything God has entrusted to our care, including people and possessions. We empower, educate, equip, and enrich those who are most impoverished through hope, community strength, and growth regardless of race or religion. Our participants give back to our organization, their communities, or both in the same spirit from which they received.

Tucson Musicians Museum

Tucson Musicians Museum

Our mission is to advance the quality of life in our communities, across all cultures, generations and tastes, through preserving, advancing and utilizing incredibly rich and diverse regional musical heritage and resources. We strive to help young people from all walks of life, cultures and musical interests reach their potential and improve both their lives and the richness of life in our community through music. We achieve this through two paths: • The operation of a free public museum which each year, honors influential inductees who have helped shape our musical heritage, as well as showcasing art and musical artifacts. • Support and building the nonprofit mission of the Museum. The Community Youth Outreach program is a multifaceted program providing mentorship, access to performance venues, and education programs geared to teach young musicians the elements needed to succeed as a musician. Through charitable donations, the Museum can help underprivileged young musicians obtain instruments they may not otherwise be able to afford, access to instruction, mentorship, and performance opportunities.

Prototypes

Prototypes

Prototypes is a lifeline to women who are struggling with addiction and other serious issues such as domestic violence and mental illness. Many of these women are mothers who face an impossible choice: give up their children to foster care or a guardian, or continue to suffer. Prototypes is a game changer by allowing women to keep their children with them during treatment so they both get the help they need. And by combining comprehensive treatment series with practical life-skills training, we prepare women for long-term success.
