Our mission is to improve conditions for children and their families on the island of Saint Lucia. We believe that all children should have the opportunity to thrive and be happy, no matter the circumstances. We provide resources and training at no cost to youth, schools, and community organizations. Our motto is “LOVE not profit”. We are a volunteer organization where no one takes a salary. 100 percent of funding goes toward our programs.

JaneUnChained.com is a digital news network, founded and managed by Jane Velez-Mitchell, a well-known journalist and New York Times bestselling author. Our journalistic focus is on the following issues: animal rights, the plant-based, cruelty-free lifestyle, climate change, food justice, health, and associated issues like human world hunger and workers’ rights. As a 501c3 non-profit organization, we rely solely on donations to fund our work. Because we cover animal issues, and animals cannot offer their side of the story, we articulate the needs and rights of animals who would otherwise be utterly voiceless and powerless. This is our mandate: to speak for those who cannot speak for themselves and to report on animal issues often ignored by mainstream media. We report on a wide range of stories, organizations, events, and programs related to the above topics. JaneUnChained’s mission is to counteract the mainstream media’s news blackout on animal rights issues. As climate change causes increasing devastation, we also emphasize the link between animal agriculture and climate change. This is arguably the most crucial issue of our times and this essential aspect of the story is almost completely ignored by advertiser-based mainstream media. This is why our non-profit work is so important.

Kids Saving the Rainforest

Our mission is to protect the diverse wildlife of flora and fauna in Costa Rica’s Pacific Coast with our conservation projects which include KSTR’s wildlife rescue center where we rescue, rehabilitate and release injured, sick and orphaned animals back to the wild. Animals that can never be released because they were either raised in captivity as illegal pets and became reliant on humans for food or permanently injured or disabled are cared for in KSTR’s wildlife sanctuary. KSTR also works to minimize the causes of why animals need to be rescued with their education program, reforestation project and wildlife bridges project. We implement these projects to protect the wildlife in the community by mitigating the major threats of wildlife in the region.

Through healing, horses and humans are able to embrace and share their gifts with the world. We raise awareness to the gifts horses have to share outside of being ridden. People are equipped to unpack their baggage, heal and move towards a positive future. They are then emboldened to step into their truth, claim their power and shine their light out into the world - thus becoming an inspiration for others to do the same. Our mission is to give all service animals, including working animals, and their handlers recognition they deserve and to increase understanding and appreciation for their service. We are committed to growing public awareness and generating grass roots support to build the National Service Animals Monument and to create the NSAM Education Program for educators nationwide. Through a broad spectrum of collaborative efforts across the country, we will spotlight the unwavering human-animal bond and create an emotionally moving experience to commemorate our heroes and educate and inspire visitors of all ages.

With multiple agencies located together in a common location, they can improve family access to services, better communicate to make sure people have what they need, make sure there is less duplication of services, and meet the future needs of the families in our area. Ultimately, we believe we can increase the employability and reduce the risk of homelessness for families in our region.
